Taunton, MA (February 10, 2017) – The Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA) is pleased to announce the launch of the new Ride Match, a new web-based tool that offers quick, easy access to information about transportation options for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone needing to travel in Massachusetts and beyond.
GATRA teamed up with Automated Business Solutions (ABS), a Pennsylvania-based company that specializes in automated paratransit software solutions, to develop a one-stop repository of transportation providers. Today, Ride Match is the product of considerable effort spent collecting data, interviewing transportation providers, and developing an online searchable database.
The user interface has been improved, and search features have been simplified for users.
Over 8 transit authorities in Massachusetts now have the ability to manage their own provider network on the website. This has greatly increased the number of private and not for profit providers recorded on the site for searches. Currently there are over 1600 providers registered.
